WATER TANKS FOR SPRINKLER SYSTEMS:
Automatic fire sprinkler, wet riser & mist systems tanks are installed for two main reasons; Property protection & life safety.
In both cases their efficiency in controlling & extinguishing fires has for over years protected lives & the environment & it should be accepted that all sprinkler systems will protect lives by restricting fire spread & protection escape routes.
Property protection systems are often installed at the request of the building occupier’s insurer to protect the business by ensuring the building & contents are protects against fire.
IT CONSISTS OF THREE BASIC PARTS:
- A large store of water in tanks, called fire storage tanks
- A specialized pumping system
- A large network of pipes ending in either hydrants or sprinklers (nearly all buildings require both of these systems)
