Tank Applications
- An overhead water tank is a type of water tank placed at a certain height. It can be built from any material, but the purpose is to ensure maximum efficiency by keeping it at an elevated distance. Water from the ground is filled into the tank through a pumping system.
- Rain water harvesting Project (RWH) is the practise of collecting and storing rainwater as opposed to letting it flow off. Positive head or suction lift
Wherever possible, horizontal centrifugal pumps shall be used, installed with a positive suction head in accordance with the following:
At least two thirds of the effective capacity of the suction tank shall be above the level of the pumps center line. The pump center line shall be no more than 2m above the low water level of the sucation tank
